Whilst negotiations are still ongoing regarding our future relationship with the EU, it is critical that we prepare ourselves for any possible disruption in supply and price increase.
At DDC Foods Ltd, we do not directly import the majority of products, as these are delivered by our suppliers on “Delivered Duty Paid” terms. We have therefore engaged with our suppliers to understand their contingency plans in detail.
We have worked closely with our suppliers to understand the impact a “no deal” might have on the products that we list. We are of the opinion that there will be minimal disruption to our supply chain however we are likely to see price increases.
DDC Foods Ltd would like to reassure our customers that all reasonable steps have been taken in order to eliminate or minimise any possible disruption to supply. Customers wishing to place any significant increases in their orders, are asked to let us know their forecasts at the earliest opportunity so that we can ensure we have sufficient stock.
Finally, with effect from the 1st January 2021 I regret that we will only be able to offer you a maximum of four weeks’ notice of implementation of any cost price increases. We hope to be able to return to our normal notice periods once the initial transition period has settled.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued custom and look forward to working with you in the future.
We will be in touch again once we know more.
With warmest regards,
